The thrilling extra-inning matchup that saw the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Blue Jays by one run attracted a total over 50 million viewers across the United States, Canada, and Japan territories. MLB announced this represents the most-watched Fall Classic Game 7 after the 1991 contest featuring the Twins and Atlanta Braves.

Last Saturday’s memorable game averaged 27.33 million audience members on Fox networks, Fox Deportes and their streaming platforms. According to Nielsen, it was the second most-watched broadcast of the previous week.
It also stands as the most-watched World Series matchup after the 2017 Game 7 between the Dodgers and Astros, which averaged 29.07M. This marks a 16% increase over the previous finale between the Nationals and Houston Astros, which attracted 23.19 million.
In the Nielsen ratings, the sixth game placed 4th, Game 4 ranked seventh, Game 5 was 8th, and the third game finished in 13th position.

This followed last Friday’s Game 6 – in which World Series MVP Yamamoto gave up a single run in six innings – averaged 13.1M viewers, making it the highest-rated World Series matchup on a single network in Japan.
